Rodeo – Open & Junior Rodeo

Event Categories:

• Ranch Bronc: Witness the adrenaline as riders', compete in the Wildest and Richest Ranch Bronc in the Northwest.
• Steer Wrestling: Experience the speed and precision of this classic rodeo event.
• Team Roping: See the coordination and teamwork required to rope the steer in record time.
• Additional Competitions: Other events may include tie-down roping, bull riding, breakaway roping, barrel racing, Bareback Bronc and Saddle Bronc, each highlighting the skill and determination of the competitors.

Schedule and Timing:
The Open Rodeo events kick off on the first day of the fair and continue throughout the 4 days. Specific event times and order of competition are available on our interactive schedule. This information is updated regularly, ensuring you never miss a moment of action.

For competitors wishing to participate in the Open Rodeo:

Safety is paramount at the Elmore County Fair and Rodeo. Our rules ensure that every event is conducted fairly and safely:

• Competition Rules:
  WSRRA rules for the Ranch Bronc event.
• PRCA/WPRA rules for all the other events.
• Posted ground rules would be the only changes from these assn. rules.
• Safety Measures:
  We adhere to strict safety protocols, for all stock and participants and on-site medical support.
• Judging Criteria:
  Events are scored by our rodeo judges, their decision if final.

Participation in the Junior Rodeo is open to riders who meet age-specific criteria:

• Application Process:
  Entry from needs to be printed and mailed before cutoff date with the entry fee.
• Entry Deadlines:
  See entry form for each deadline
• No entries taken the day of the event
• Draw Outs/No Shows refunds will be up to the jr rodeo committee
